Minnesota Last Will and Testament Form

Minnesota last will and testament is a document expressing how a person wants their property to be disposed of after they die. The distributions described in a will are legally enforceable, and creating one helps ensure that the decedent’s property, known as their estate, will not be subject to the state’s intestacy rules. The legal term for the person who creates a will is the “testator,” while the people or organizations receiving property are known as “beneficiaries.”

Laws Chapter 524 (Uniform Probate Code)

Signing Requirements (§524.2-502) –  To be valid, a will must be in writing and signed by the testator in the presence of two witnesses, who must sign the will within a reasonable time of witnessing the testator sign the document.
