A Massachusetts last will and testament is a legal document used to ensure that the distribution of the property of a deceased person follows that person’s wishes. The person who creates the will is called the testator. The people who receive property under the terms of a will are known as beneficiaries; organizations may also be beneficiaries. Once created, wills can be modified or revoked, and can also appoint people to help oversee the distribution of property.
