Vermont Last Will and Testament Form

Vermont last will and testament is a written record of a person’s desires for what will happen to their property after they die. In will terminology, the person who makes the will is called the testator, and the people who receive property per the terms of the will are called beneficiaries. Beneficiaries can also include organizations, like charities. Once a will has been created, it can be revoked or changed as often as the testator wants.

Laws Title 14 (Decedent’s Estates and Fiduciary Relations)

Signing Requirements (14 V.S.A. § 5) – A valid will is written and signed by the testator in the presence of two competent witnesses. Each witness should then sign the will as well, in the presence of the testator and the other witness.
