Rhode Island Last Will and Testament Form

Rhode Island last will and testament is used to transfer the property of a person after their death. Wills are created by the decedent, known as the testator, listing various people or organizations, known as beneficiaries, and specifying what property they are to receive. A will can also include instructions regarding its administration, including nominating a person to oversee the distribution of property.

Laws Title 33 (Probate Practice and Procedure)

Signing Requirements (§ 33-5-5) – To be valid, a will must be written and signed by the testator. The testator must sign in the presence of two witnesses, who must in turn sign the will in the presence of the testator.
