New York Last Will and Testament Form

New York last will and testament lets a person make their wishes for their property after they die legally enforceable. The creator of the will, known as the testator, identifies people or organizations to receive various assets, who are known as beneficiaries. Wills can also specify how property should not be disposed of, appoint people to assist with the distribution process, and modify previous wills of the testator.

Signing Requirements (§ 3-2.1) – Wills must be in writing and signed by the testator. The signing should be done in the presence of at least two witnesses, who should also sign the document within 30 days of the testator.
