Mississippi Last Will and Testament Form

Mississippi last will and testament provides a legally enforceable method for a person to distribute property after their death. The creator of the will, known as the testator, indicates the people or organizations that will receive particular property, who are known as beneficiaries. Any competent person over the age of 18 may create a will. Wills are useful because they provide clarity that can limit fighting over the estate, or property, of the decedent.

Laws Title 91, Chapter 5 (Wills and Testaments)

Signing Requirements (§ 91-5-1) – Wills must be in writing and signed by the testator. Two people must witness the testator sign the will, and then sign it themselves.
