Michigan Last Will and Testament Form

Michigan last will and testament empowers a person to make their desires for how their property should be distributed after they die legally enforceable. The person who creates the will is known as the testator, while the persons or organizations to whom the testator distributes property are known as beneficiaries. Along with distributing property, wills can change or revoke previous wills, and nominate executors, who oversee the distribution process, and guardians, who care for child beneficiaries.

Laws Chapter 700 (Estates and Protected Individuals Code)

Signing Requirements (§ 700.2502) – To be valid, a will must be in writing, and signed by the testator in the presence of two witnesses, both of whom must sign the will within a reasonable time of witnessing the testator sign.
