Maryland Last Will and Testament Form

Maryland last will and testament is an enforceable record of a person’s desires for the distribution of their property after they die. A person who creates a will is known as a testator, while those who receive property under the will’s terms are known as beneficiaries. Wills can be revoked by future wills, while a modification to an existing will is called a codicil.

Laws Estates and Trusts, Title 4 (Wills)

Signing Requirements (§4–102) – Wills must be in writing and signed by the testator in the presence of two witnesses, who must also sign the will. In certain limited circumstances, witnesses may observe the signing of the will electronically.
